Jelgava, Latvia. 13 – 17 February 2017

First Meeting took part from 13 to 17 February 2017 in Jelgava, Latvia.

Two teachers and three students (five from Greece) joined in Jelgava to put in common the work they did during the first months of the project.

We arrived to a frozen city, where everything was ready to wellcome people from the five countries  travelling there.

The program was fulll of activities, to get in touch, to meet the culture, and to share the activities prepared in the different countries.

The first day there, after the ice breaking activities, we were introduced to the School, and after the first workshop,  we had lunch at school. In the afternoon, after attending to Latvian lessons, we had a walk around Jelgava. To end the day, we had sport games in the evening.

On the second day, we met the school principal and participated in a concert. After presenting the second activity, we were baking some pies.

In the afternoon, we could visit Jaunpils medieval castle, and we had a dinner eating in medieval style.

On the third day,  after presenting the third  and forth activities,  we learned to produce some pieces of decoration with different techniques.

On thursday,  the  fifth activity was presented, and after it, we travelled to Riga. We visited Old medieval Riga, and after having dinner, we assisted to a Hockey game.

On the last day of the Meeting, Friday, we were visiting lessons with Latvian students. We have the opportunity, later, to trade with different goods the different countries brought with them.

After that, the students played  the game “Orientation in Jelgava”,  while the teachers were  having a meeting. With the evaluation of the project, the meeting arrived to its end, and  next year, all the delegations went back home.
