Trikala, Greece
Trikala, Greece. 24 – 28 April 2017
A bit more than two months later, the second Meeting with students took place, this time in Trikala, Greece.
On our first day in Trikala, we took part in the ice breaking activities, and assisted to presentations about Greece, Trikala, and the Greek language.
In the morning, we visited the old city of Trikala, and the ancient castle, and in the afternoon, after lunch, we visited Pili, the Temple of Virgin Mary and the Arched bridge. After a walk through an ancient road, we visited the Nunnery “Gkoura”, where we had dinner.
On our second day there, we presented our first activities. After that, we visited Meteora, the Museum of Greek Education in Kalampaka and the town of Kalampaka.
On our third day there, we continued presenting all the word made during previous months, and in the afternoon, we visited the Byzantine Choir in Cathedral (Saint Nikolaos), where the clothing of Orthodox priest were presented to us.
Thursday was an all day trip to Volos, where we visited Millies, a village on Pilion mountain, but also the city of Volos and the archaelogical museum of Larisa. In the evening, we had the official dinner with some of the personalities of the City.
Finally, on friday we had the opportunity to attend some lessons with Greek students. Later, we continued visiting Trikala, and visited the Mayor.
The Meeting had arrived to its end. All of us, came back home.
