Jastrzębie-Zdrój, Poland. 23 – 27 April 2018
The fourth and last meeting of the project finally took place in Jastrzębie-Zdrój (Poland), according to the program the orgagnicers stablished.
On Saturday 21st April, delegations started to arrive, and on Sunday, all the five delegations were already there. All the teachers were hosted at Dabrówka hotel, a really nice place where families came to take their students to be hosted at families.
And on Monday, we were all ready to start working. After the ice breaking activities, we all were welcomed by the headmistress and could take the first group photo. We also had the possibility to be introduced to Poland, their schools, their city and even their language.
After all that, we could start presenting the first activities: Some activities that wasn’t presented in the previous meeting and some new activities for this meeting. After that, we went to have lunch all together and have a walk around the city.
On Tuesday, after a second Polish Language class, we presented new activities, about the current analysis of the Medieval Routes. The result of the contest stablished among countries was also known: Italy won the cathegory of the fastest route and Spain the cathegory of the cheapest one.
And them, we travelled to Cieszyn, a city with history since the 9th Century. There, we visited the Printing Museum, were our students had the opportunity to create their own book, and had a walk around the city. After having lunch, we went back to Jastrzębie-Zdrój.
On Wednesday, we continued learning Polish, and we presented also the activities about Behavior codes and Plague studies. After both presentations, students, divided in groups, worked on some posters about their Erasmus Memories.
After that, we travelled to Pszcyna, a city founded in the 13th Century. There, after a workshop and lunch at a reconstructed medieval castle, we had a walk around the city. Later, we went back to the city.
Thursday was an all day trip to Cracow. In the morning, we visited Wawel hill, the Wawel castle and the cathedral. After visiting the cave of the dragon, we had a walk around the city center.
After having lunch, we visited Wieliczka ‘s Salt Mine, a wonderful underground place where we expent most of the afternoon.
After that visit, we were ready to go back to our city.
On friday, last day of the meeting, we presented the last activities, we had the opportunity of visiting some Polish classes and teachers had a last meeting to end orgagnizing the work. And we had the closing of the meeting, with an interesting contest about European culture, and the last words of the Polish headmistress and coordinator.
This meeting represented the end of the project, so it was the time to say goodbye to everybody. To say thanks to all of you for your wonderfull work. And of course, to wish to all the participating schools this meeting not to be the end, but the beginning of a new way of teaching using all the methodologies we have been learning through our activities.
